If you are looking for spinal decompression offices in San Diego then you or someone you care about may be suffering from pain. Most of our patients who are suffering with sciatica, disc bulges, disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, disc protrusions, shooting leg or arm pain are tired of living in pain and missing out on life.
They have tried to get hep with many of the traditional treatments their doctors have offered them or well intentioned friends or family recommended them to try. Most have undergone the following treatments with no success:
-Pain Medications
-Injections
Physical Therapy
-Chiropractic Appointments
-Massage Therapy
-Acupuncture
-Surgery
These treatments can sometimes help temporarily but unfortunately types will not provide long lasting relief and most not even temporary relief when we are dealing with pain that is coming from a disc in the spine.
Why is that?
These treatments are mostly focusing on the symptoms and not solving the actual reason the pain is there. With disc herniations, sciatica and the above described conditions, the pain is coming from the compression of the disc which is then causing the disc to push upon the spinal nerves which cause the pain.
Think of it this way, if someone is standing on your foot, then it hurts. The longer they are standing on your foot, the worse the pain will become. If we inject your foot with medications, give you some drugs or rub your foot with something or even cut off part of your foot then the pain may be improved for a period of time. But if the person is still standing on your foot, then that pain will never improve much at all It will continue to cause pain. So what must happen to get rid of the pain in in this example?
Correct, we have to get that person off of our foot, we have to “decompress”. And until we do that, we will be spending a lot of time and energy on something that most likely will never provide the pain relief we are looking for.
This is the same with our spinal discs. This is why in our office we focus on “decompressing” the discs to solve the persons pain. We utilize True Spinal Decompression machines with the DRX 9000 machines. These are the machines that all the studies done thru Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University and Mayo Clinic found to be highly successful in treating disc problems.
Many offices claim they are “doing the same thing” with traction tables and some physical therapists will say, “it’s just traction”. I can understand why they would say that as they have never experienced the difference between traction and True Spinal Decompression. I can tell you after being a patient myself and the over 25,000 treatments I have performed, there is a huge difference.
A Prius is a car and so is a Ferrari but they obviously work much differently and have very different capabilities. The Ferrari is a far more complicated, superior machine with significantly more capabilities and thus will produce a mush different result and experience that driving the Prius. True spinal decompression therapy with the DRX 900 machines is like the Ferrari and traction tables are the Prius.
The cost, technology, research, testing and results that go into the Ferrari are far different and superior to the Prius. So it is with Spinal Decompression.
It’s just a machine however. How we use it makes a huge difference. There are thousands of settings that need to be unique to the individual. This comes with knowing what settings need to be done for each patient depending on multiple factors, age , height, weight, pain levels, duration of the pain, location of the pain and many others.
There are 3 critical components with successfully treating.these conditions.
- Avoidance
- Decompression
- Stabilization
Like a 3 legged stool, if we don’t have all 3 legs then we are in trouble and the unbalance will cause us to eventually fall and return to our painful condition.
"I found this terrific practice on social media. I followed up and did my own research so I decided to pay them a visit. The place is clean, well organized and run by a very efficient receptionist. I met with the doctor and after a honest and forthright conversation, we both determined that surgery was my only option to correct my back issues. I will return as a customer when the time is right." - Jeff J.
"Dr. Boelk & his staff are by far the BEST at spinal decompression. I walked into his office unable to sit to do my job, where I was having to lay each day & within a couple of weeks he helped me with being able to sit again. His attention to you & the way he will make you feel is unparalleled. First of all, he has suffered from some severe back issues, so his empathy is very high. Secondly, he is extremely caring & genuinely wants to help people. I've never worked with a doctor who has cared as much and made me feel like I was his only patient before. There would be 4 people there at the same time, and he still made me feel this way. I guess I just cannot thank him enough & cannot recommend him enough. He is an angel on earth. If you visit him, please listen to him & follow his instructions. He knows what's best for you. " - Erin T.
"Dr. Boelk has been a life saver. Have had constant lower back and sciatica pain for over 8 plus months, no pills helped and on track for multiple shots but with the treatment given I have found relief and down to zero pain. As a firefighter that relies on his body to help others and the results I have experienced it's totally worth looking into what Dr. Boelk can do for you." - Josh T.
